What is Fumage?
Fumage is a special art technique where I use smoke and fire to make patterns on paper — without using a brush or paint. The smoke leaves soft, natural marks that create beautiful and unexpected forms.
Why I Use Fumage
I enjoy working with fumage because it feels peaceful and creative. I don’t fully control the result — the fire also plays its part. That makes each artwork unique and full of emotion.
Fumage in India
This style of art is very rare in India. Not many artists use fire and smoke like this. I love exploring something different and sharing it with people who may be seeing it for the first time.
Each artwork is created by hand using a mix of expressive and rare mediums — from soft pencil sketches and bold charcoal strokes to fluid calligraphy and the unpredictable beauty of fire and smoke (fumage).
Every medium adds its own rhythm, texture, and emotion to the piece, making each frame truly one of a kind.
